Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone has experience transferring between Kaiser, in particularly from Socal to Norcal? If you do or know anyone who had been through the process, how difficult was the process?

About me: I am currently working in a Kaiser in Southern California as an RN. But I would like to transfer to a Kaiser in the Bay Area. I was told the process is different and can be difficult compared to transfer between Kaiser in socal, (like socal kp to another socal kp facilities).

Thank you in your input!! :)

Yes, there is some red tape because of the different unions. I would reach out to my SoCal union rep. My friend works at a Norcal Kaiser and works with someone that came from San Diego to Wine Country. I'll ask today. If you find out before me be sure to comeback and give information.

Avoid Kaiser San Francisco ICU's. The manager is screwy from what I been told.

Thank you! I did heard it would be a different process due to the different unions. I would reach out to union reps to discuss about this and update you once I get more info. Thank you! :)

Wondering if you have any answers on your transfer? I currently work at Kaiser in OC and am looking to transfer to Sacramento, Roseville or Folsom area. I talked to my union rep today. She is not super familiar but says you lose all seniority for job bids, holidays etc. you're kaiser hire date stays the same so your vacation 401k sick days etc transfer. She also says you don't have to start all over with experience. Any luck? Good luck in your search. I hope I find something soon!
