Hi guys -
Is anyone in the Nashville/Columbia, TN area?
I am looking at moving to that area, and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the schools/job opportunities there.
Okay, just any general info would be nice!
Thanks guys!

I am sorry I have only visited there. Loved Hard Rock and the honkey tonks downtown.

A number of excellent nursing schools & job opportunities await you in Nashville. If I recall properly, there are 9 or more hospitals, not counting rehab hospitals. I hear that the wages are good. Housing is a bit on the pricey side. Especially in the southern & western parts of the city (all of Davidson county is part of Nashville). Many people live in the surrounding counties, especially Rutherford & Wilson...both have easy access to Nashville. Just look around. Williamson county is one of the most expensive areas in which to live.
Good luck to you in your move!

I am from the Nashville area. I think Nashville is one of the best places to live in the whole world! It is both a small town and a big city. I grew up in Wilson cty, so don't know a lot about Columbia, sorry. I can tell you that there are several excellent hospitals in Nashville, and each seems to have it's own specialty that they advertise for. If you tell me what you are specializing in, I can pretty much point you in the right direction.
