A book about nursing for non-nurses?

As I read this forum there is so much information... mentions of specialties, procedures, equipment, etc.

Is there a book out there in laymen's terms that describes the nursing field - something that would give overviews of the specialties, what types of patients they see, specific procedures, how RNs work with CNAs and Techs, different credentials and so on.

Does this exist?
