30 credit hours semester

There are 9 courses, broken up to 3 different intervals... 5 weeks,3 weeks,4 weeks, respectively. 4 classes the first interval, 3 the second and 2 classes for the last. I know people survived through it, I just hope I can.. I expect to lose my hair, skin, weight and probably my sanity.....YIKES!
I don't have the option to chose another program, since all applications deadline for nearby schools are passed. DIfficult as it sounds, there were about 150-200 applicants. Only 12 are accepted. I should be happy I'm accepted???

Ok, if it's broke up like that, I can see where it could work. Sounds like it's alot like taking a May term or Winter term at a college, but you are taking more than one class during that same interval.

Did 15-17 credits in traditional BSN program per semester which allowed me to work past time.
30 credits = eat, sleep, drink paper.

I told my family consider me missing for 18 mos. and suggested they learn how to do their own laundry... and mine too. :selfbonk:

Sheesh. I am not in the RN program yet, but I only have 7-10 Credits per semester. I couldn't do accelerated. God bless you.

That's insane!, What school is it. If it's 30 credit hours, you cannot meet eduational standards. At 30 credit hours, you spend 30 clock hours in class, unless it's lab, then you are in lab for 60 hours and clinicals are 90 hours, I know it is some variation but still between 30 and 90 hours in class per week? Also remember you are expected to spend 3 hours preparing for each credit hour so that means another 90 hours a week studying!! As an instructor i cannot comprehend this. I would not attempt the program, I would run as fast as possible, it sounds like you are being set up to fail.

This is an accelerated course with the University of Alabama. I think fast track course from other schools carries about the same outrageous load (someone correct if I'm wrong) As I've mentioned earlier, the credit hrs are broken into 3 different intervals, like term classes, which seems doable. Difficult, but doable.

Once I start, I will report the status of my mental state... if I can find the time. :uhoh3:

I did high 20's and worked FT. Yes, it sucks but is able to be done. If you want it bad enough- you can do anything.

I have deep admiration for your ability to handle that many hours and work full time....As it is, I start tomorrow and I'm nervous.:bowingpur
