I've heard it's possible to use flexible spending to purchase things such as sphygmomanometers, pulse oximeters and stethoscopes. Basically - assessment tools. Is this true? Have any of you used flex spending for your "toolbox" items? Do you need a prescription or to order items through a specific type of place?

For personal use not professional/work use it would be FSA eligible with medical necessity such as a BP cuff for someone with unstable or high blood pressure requiring regular monitoring. A glucometer for a diabetic
Good to know! Thank you!
