Hi Sincerely,
Come visit us at the GCU thread: https://allnurses.com/nursing-online-distance/grand-canyon-rn-793249.html
Anyway, there are 12 core classes, each 5 weeks long. You cannot double up for the first four, I believe and IMO, if you do that makes for a lot of homework!
Class decisions: Do you mean rules? Those are instructor specific on how nice or picky they want to be.
Assignments: You have 2 discussion questions each week you have to answer and are due on Wed and Fri. With that, you have to respond a total of 6 times to other students. There is typically a written assignment due each Sunday that is done in 6th edition APA. The other popular assignment is a power point.
There are group assignments for most of the classes, but not all. That's were you get to learn how play nice in the sandbox with others, lol. :)
The last class is the Capstone. I start on April 21st. I will keep you posted on that one. Others start in a few weeks, some are mid way and others are somewhere in between.
It is a busy program but doable. Anyway, come over and meet with us!!
If you are speaking of Grand Canyon University, all the papers are in APA format. You write 4 to 5 papers during the 5 week classes. Classes are intense but doable. I have 2 classes left until I graduate. Just make sure you get your assignments in on time and know how to format your papers. Purdueowl.com can help you with APA. The school library has a template for your papers, so this makes it easy with margins and formatting. Good luck in your studies.
sincerely,RN
