GCU RN to BSN capstone course

Good golly, I have gone through GCUs entire program with no difficulty. This capstone course requires a 'mentor' and it is literally taking a ridiculous amount of my time setting up paperwork and documentation they require after going through numerous local contacts with which the school has an 'affiliation' that the facilities know nothing about. Has anybody else had this issue with the capstone course at GCU? I'm about fed up which is sad because it's my last class.

My facility had an agreement with GCU in the MSN program, but I did have to get approved for the BSN program. Once you get past the first couple of weeks is gets easier. As a forewarning, the first two weeks have a lot of documentation. You will need to do a weekly journal, keep track of your immersion hours, assignments, and sometime throughout the 10 week class you need to participate in a scholarly activity and write about it (this gets turned in on week 10). I attended an eight hour trauma seminar for my activity. It is different than the previous 5 week class, but doable. Good luck.

I believe the scholarly activity is not a weekly requirement, but rather a one time thing and you write a paper about it.
