GCU CEP for MSN (students with previous BA in another field)

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hi! I think I've posted this before but wanted to repost to see if anyone has signed up for this particular CEP program with GCU and MCC. It's to get your MSN while skipping over the BSN due to already having a BA in another field. Strictly trying to find out if anyone has applied for it and any experience they've had thus far? My main concern is it being a brand new program (but at least with a highly well known and reputable school). I've been advised by multiple professionals already in the field that I should be weary about new programs so I wanted to cover all bases and ask here as well. Please only comment if you have experience or know someone with experience in this program. Thank you!!! :)

Hello,

Did you ever find out more information about this program? I've been trying to research it and haven't seen many people posting about it. Just wanted to see if you had any updates. Thanks!

Most the advisors don't know about it. From what I understand is that you are following the BSN classes while in nursing school and then need to go another year once you pass the Nclex. So until that is done you only have an ADN. There are three different areas to pick from like public health, administration and I can't remember the other one. meaning you would need to choose your area before you even really started working or had experience.

Here is the only info on it. You can also call GCU cep advisor/ https://asa.maricopa.edu/sites/default/files/BROCHURE_GCU_Concurrent_Program_rev10292015_final.pdf
