Anyone else waiting to hear if you got into the Fall 2017 RN program at Gulf Coast State College?

I am waiting to hear as well! This is such a stressful time. Do you have all of your pre-reqs completed?

Yea, I finished all my prereqs and got a 92 on the HESI so I'm hopeful but I know it's really competitive to get in so I'm extremely nervous. Hopefully the letters are mailed fairly quickly so we will know one way or another.

That's great! I have not take Microbiology or Pharmacology yet and scored a 90 on the HESI. The other school I was going to apply to would not let you take Pharmacology until you are in the nursing program. You're right, it is so competitive! From everything I've read it sounds like you have a great chance of getting in. I'm a little worried since I haven't completed every pre-req. My advisor told me towards the end of March we should hear something. I've been thinking about it non-stop!!

yea, my advisor said to expect them to come out between middle to end of March, though I'm sure it's more like the end of March, but I'm hopeful it'll be sooner.

Is Chipola the other school you're applying to? I'm thinking about applying there, I like that their program is 18 straight months, I want to finish the program as quickly as possible.

No, the other school was Northwest Florida State College. That would be awesome to get done in 18 months. I just have to go somewhere within driving distance from home bc I have 2 little ones. Good luck to you, hopefully we will hear something soon!!

Awesome! I hope more people join the forum soon, it'd be nice for some of us to kind of know each other before starting. We're all going to be relying on each other for two years :)

Hi! Sorry it took so long to reply, seems like no one was commenting so I forgot I posted. Odd, seems like previous semester boards were pretty active. Hopefully as it gets closer to our semester start date more people will participate!
