Gateway LPN Program 2018

Hello everyone!

I am currently on the wait list for the Gateway fast track LPN program for either this fall 2018 or Spring 2019. My application got accepted February 8th 2017. Just wanted to see if any one has applied and gotten in the following semester? or if anyone applied around the same time as I?

The bookstore sale the codes only as well.

I am still trying to get things finished up. I have everything figured out for CastleBranch & was told everything needs to be done by orientation day but what about myClinicalExchange?? Do we upload everything there now?

Also, I noticed that the orientation time says 5:00-8:00....is that AM or PM? (Weirdly, it doesn't specify). I assume AM but obviously need to know for sure!

Yes, you upload to myClinicalExchange as well.

Thanks, that is great to know. They didn't give me that information when I went in. I also wasn't aware we had to upload to my clinical exchange. I have everything on Castle Branch but didn't hear anything about uploading to The Clinical Exchange site.

I am hoping there is a way around buying the "bundle" from the bookstore. My husband took the LPN Bridge which is only available to former military with med background. He finished the whole LPN program in 5 months (lucky!) & I was in charge of finding his books for him....I believe I got the 2 or 3 books he needed online for under $100.

Do you guys know anything about our clinical rotations? I know they are supposed to be assigned on the night of orientation, but does anyone have any idea what they base our assignments off of? Are they by distance from our homes? Do we get to select our days? Random selection?

All I know about the clinical rotations is that there will be 10 dates (if I remember correctly), per Mrs. Lastine. I am wondering if we will be assigned some of those dates or that we will all be doing 10 12hr. clinical days! :o (my husband did some of his clinicals at the VA).

Scrubs....colors? Anywhere special to get them? (I really don't want to pay for overpriced scrubs at the bookstore).

Unfortunately, myCE doesn't integrate with CB. You should have a paid account & it will give you a Gateway Compliance checklist. You will upload your documents & submit them for review.

I purchased mine from Apparel Pro in Tempe. They have our approved scrub list and will embroider your tops for $5 each.

Hi all! I will be in the Fall '18 evening cohort. @Babymarviel, my schedule is Mon and Wed from 5pm-9pm and Saturday clinicals will be from 8-4, at least that is what the schedule in student center says. I thought they were 12 hour shifts.

How do you guys already know what color scrubs to get? I only got an email about MyCE, Castle Branch and orientation, but nothing about scrubs.

The book list I have is in student center--but it is SO expensive! $600+ for the ebook and print and $300+, I think, for the ebook version. I can't find them online for used anywhere. I even looked on Facebook to see if any LPN/Gateway groups who just graduated would want to sell it, but no luck. Are any of you just going to buy ahead of time, or just wait until orientation?

You can find out the scrub color by calling or going to the book store. I did see at least two books that we will use online (new or used) but they don't come with the access code. I bought them ahead time just to avoid the last minute rush & not knowing if they will assign anything the night of orientation. I will have labs that same week.
