Gateway CC LPN Spring 2014

Has anyone been accepted to the Spring (Day or Evening) LPN cohort at GWCC? Are there any recent graduates out there who can describe their experiences? I decided to take the LPN route to save money. I am paying for school out of pocket and I REFUSE to take out any school loans. After the LPN program, I hope to transfer into Block 3 of the RN program at one of the community colleges.

I had a great experience at Gateway. I did the LPN and then the RN program there. I would highly recommend it. The teachers were great, and I would do it again!

Miteacher, did you attend the day program? I'm interested in the program but work mon-fri.

...I am finishing up my first semester at gateways LPN. I love it so far and plan on getting in at third block. I started a blog since day one of this nursing program. I recommend it!!

Hey 2nd,

I was accepted in to this upcoming (spring '14) LPN cohort :woot: . I'm in the evening how about you? Do you have your pre-reqs to do the RN transfer already completed? All in all I'm a little nervous about the program and I wish the info session was sooner than the 3rd!

I have always been curious is LPN class the same as Block 1 and Block 2 in the RN program?

I don't believe that the classes are the same; however the content is similar. Once you finish the LPN program (as long as you meet the requirements), you can enter in to Block 3 of the RN program.
