Gaps in online job postings

The further into the job search I get, the bigger a pet peeve this is becoming -- postings for job openings that are just missing chunks of important information, like what kind of floor it is that you're potentially applying to! (Guess what? "Reissman 12" may mean something to you, but I am completely clueless!)

Suggestions for how to deal with this? My first thought would be to just call up HR and ask for clarification, but I'm applying to mainly large hospitals in Boston and New York, and I'm wondering how receptive they would be to those kinds of questions.

They should answer those questions. I dont see why those types of questions would cause a problem. You can chose to be anonymous when calling.

I think that you should call them and inquire whatever you need to know. You dont have to give your name. I would want to know what i am applying for because you dont want to be called in for an interview for some unit that you have no interest in or for something that is not even close to your profession. I would call cause its better to know then not to know anything
