I was just accepted into Galen's LPN to RN day program at the St.Pete/Tampa campus for July 2014. I wanted to start this thread to see if there are any other's out there starting at the same time. It would be nice to start connecting with classmates. :)

I'm waiting on a call back from them. What did they tell you the schedule would be like for an average week? Hope to see you there!
They didn't give me an average of how much I would be on campus or what my workload would look like. It will also depend if you have classes transferring in or not. I know the first 12 weeks I only need to take the online computer class because all of my other classes transferred in. Are you waiting on a phone call for acceptance?

I am thinking of applying. All my classes will also transfer in. First time hearing about this college. Will look into it more.

I just came across this program. I am thinking about applying to the hybrid program. How was the application/admission process?

I am in the Tampa 2 yr RN program Stating on July 7th. Having a hard time pulling up the class daily schedule. Anyone have a copy?
Thanks,
Becky
The application/admission process wasn't too bad. I was able to do 90% of it from my home. I just scanned and uploaded it to my laptop and either emailed it or uploaded it to Galen's student portal. After my FA cleared, they had me come in and sign the financial agreement and sign the contract and get my schedule. About a month later I went to an orientation for the online/hybrid students.

How far in advance do you have to apply to get accepted ?
I'd say you should give it at least 3 mos in advance. The FA approval took the longest for me. I ended up having to wait until the following start date because it took a while. It worked out better anyway.
Thank you and do you know how many weeks are in each Quinn ?
From what I understand, it's 12 weeks each.
