  1. Currently in LPN-RN program and working full time in long term care facilty. The program is getting pretty intense and I am looking for another area of nursing to work in. I wish i could stop working all together while I finish school...but that it not an option at all. Has anybody ever survived nursing school while working in home health/ private duty? Any tips would greatly be appreciated!
  2. Thanks to everyone for all the reponses!!! Maybe I'll start off with PRN and seeing how I like it first before fully committing
  3. Hi everyone! Is it norm for long term care/skilled nursing facilities to have a nurse to patient ratio 1:30?? I've heard stories where nurses have 30 patients and have to do their own woundcare, admissions, orders, etc. Seems like A LOT. I currently work in a doctor office but looking to branch out to enhance my skills. Any input would be appreciated!
  4. Oh ok! I liked the McGraw-Hill test prep when I did my LPN and I see they have the NLN PAX-RN so I will try them.
  5. Oh ok. Thanks! Did u take your PAX after submitting your application?
  6. Oh wow! I haven't taken Chemistry either! I will definitely buy the book soon so I can go ahead and start studying. Did u transfer any credits in?

  9. I just came across this program. I am thinking about applying to the hybrid program. How was the application/admission process?
  10. First thing first...it's NOT me! But this is a real life scenario that heard about in the community. I feel bad for both parties involved. I wasn't sure what all could happen in a situation like this which is why I came on here and asked.
  11. A nurse leaves a syringe at the patient bedside. Another nurse comes behind to assist the patient and is poked by the syringe. What can happen to the nurse that left it out on accident?
  12. Thanks to everyone for all the kind words!!! Best wishes to everyone!!! God Bless!!
