I would consider prosure, it's a reletively new drink with 'fish oil' (not the real stuff!). All the patients i know who use the drink are gaining weight (even with progessive desease).
Thank you for the responce, I am ordering some now, of the Prosure I just would like to look healthier , and gain muscle . I am 5'8 inches and a weight of 105, since my second cancer treatment 5 yrs ago , I lost 25 lbs and was never able to regain it. It may be all about the metabolism. thanks again Jetlpn ks.

hi jet,
congratulations on your recovery and wellness.
how is your appetite? if it is not up to par, you might want to ask your doctor about an appetite stimulant, such as megace, ONLY if you're still not feeling hungry. if your appetite is fine, what about adding extra butter, toppings to your meals? i really don't know the answer as i've never had that dilemma.....best wishes and peace.

The first thing to try is taking in a high-calorie diet. Not necessarily high-fat, just a healthy, balanced, high calorie diet. What I do to help my patients is offer them foods that they truly enjoy...I have found that making a "milkshake" from a can of Boost (chocolate or vanilla) and a few scoops of ice cream helps to add calories. I serve this to my patients with every meal if they desire. Also, instead of three meals per day, try to eat six smaller meals. When 3 large meals are eaten, you will tend to get "stuffed" and maybe not be able to finish the meal. Six smaller portions per day may help, with high-calorie snacks in between. As stated earlier, if apptetite is a problem, talk to your doc about maybe some Megace. Get that weight up! GOOD LUCK.
