Ga Nurses Who Work Nights

WHo here works night shift and who likes it? Did you have to take nights b/c no other options were available?

For the new GA nurses, what shifts did you guys/gals get when you become a new grad nurse

Where I work we do Baylor,so I work 7p-7a S,S nights,and get paid for 40 hrs.Then 7p-3-30a Mon night..Nights is preferable,especially on weekends when you can avoid all the management.I'm off all week to play.

Of course your sleep can get messed up,many the time I'm wide awake at 3a after 2-3 hrs sleep..

And of course in a busy ER,nights can be busier,especially after the bars close!!!!!.

aberrn- Where do you work?

I will be graduating in '08 w/RN and I would LOVE to work a Baylor shift. I always thought that meant Fri, Sat and Sunday shifts. Does it change or is this a set thing? Thanks
