I had to change my patients ileostomy. This pt also had a feeding tube. And ileostomy leaked over a g-tube (g-tube was clamped, no feeding running). I cleaned it but now I am freaking out if there is a possibility it will get infected.
I don't have much experience with either one of these.
Tell me how bad this is.

It's the same gastric contents, no matter the location of the tube.

There is the possibility of infection, but really low. gastric contents are designed to be pretty potent, and if the PEG tube isn't already having issues (bleeding/skin breakdown) and you clean the skin, it should be fine.
