Congratulations to all the FY19 MECP Selectees. I am an active duty GySgt in the Marine Corps with 13 years in and was fortunate to be one of the individuals selected. I look forward to the next chapter of my life and wish the best to those who weren't selected.
navynurse15,
Thank you. Yea, I have already read all of that but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything critical. Being in the Marine Corps and in a remote command without a usual admin section is a little different. I am getting anxious because I am a senior in the nursing program and graduate in December. The majority of people who were selected for MECP are not currently in college and will not be commissioning for a little while. With me, I am on a very shortened timeline so I just want to make sure I do all I can to ensure a smooth transition. I would, however, love the chance to talk to you. Is there a way to share contact information without posting it here?
Congrats,
I am a GySgt with 16 years and plan on submitting on next years board. Does anyone have a Marine example package? I'm infantry and not one single person has any clue what I'm talking about or how to complete it. I have a Navy example package that my wife was able to get as a Nurse at our Naval Hospital but it appears to be vastly different from what I would need to submit on the Marine side.
I am also curious if there is a ACT or SAT score that must be achieved. I have read and read and can only find the requirement of a current ACT or SAT within 3 years. Curious if that is also waive-able with over 160 credit hours and a currently enrollment, 4.0 GPA.
If anyone has any assistance or advice I would greatly appreciate.

Congrats you all on your selection!! I've only seen a list of selectees, but no NAVADMIN, which is different for this year. Typically on the NAVADMIN it will ask the selectee to:
•Send an email to the MECP point of contact with information like civilian email address, mailing address, and phone number. After sending your information to the poc, you are added to a group email where you will receive additional information.
•Incur a 6-year obligation by extending or reenlisting. Orders are not usually cut until you have extended or reenlisted.
If you have questions on what steps to take now as a selectee, I would suggest contacting the MECP poc. Her info is located on the website.
