Hello future nursing students,
I have currently finished majority of my per-req courses such as, anatomy & physiology 1 which I made a B in and anatomy2 I managed to pull an A. I have not taken microbiology as of yet, but it will be taken in July of this summer. I wanted to start a thread because I am extremely nervous and anxious during the process of applying and being accepted to nursing school and hopefully could get some advice and tips on taking the NLN exam and any other information that could be helpful as well. I am thinking about taking the NLN exam some time before fall semester begin so that would give me sometime to breath after my summer class. I have been looking over the Pre-admission guide that Southwest suggest to study for the nln. Is that book actually helpful? What does the test consist of? And was any of the material difficult?
Any information will be helpful and good luck to all on the journey of becoming a nurse!!!
BEL985 Can you advise me on what to study for the NLN exam at Southwest? I have the study guide Southwest recommends. I took the Kaplan at Northwest & I wish I would have skipped half of the time I spent studying certain topics because many were not on the test. On the Kaplan there was no geometry vocabulary definitions, and the science was just AP. Any help would be awesome because I did not score so well on the Kaplan. I put a lot of time like I said studying subjects that were not on the test. I am going to keep my head up & improve my scores for Southwest. Thank you!![/quote']did you find any help ?
