Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, Medical-Surgical Nursing

Does anyone have any advice/suggestions for studying Fundamentals of Nursing, Pharmacology, and Medical-Surgical Nursing. Your help is very much appreciated. Flash cards and suggestions on studying on those aforementioned courses are very helpful also.

use your syllabus as a guide and read everything! although you may not see it on any of your class exams, you may never know when or where you may see something again. also it helps to try to read ahead and be prepared for class, but this is not always feasible. it really does help to try to study a little everyday so when it's exam time you are not in a bind trying to cram. cramming does not work in nursing school!!! too much to remember, you really have to know this material in order to connect the dots. do not get frustrated in the first semester if things do not seem to make sense. just hang in there and do your best! a quote my instructor is always saying to us is, "the race is not to the swift, but to those who endure." good work!!!

thank you parrothead36 for the comment, two more weeks before class but now you are getting me motivated. :)

I don't really 'study' per se. I call it studying but what I do is basically read everything. If there are concepts that are similar or hard to remember, I'll take notes. For example: I would take notes on early and late decels, variable decels, etc. I don't have time to do something like make flash cards. I usually finish reading the chapters at 10 pm the night before the exam.
