Has anyone ever attempted working full-time while going to a FT lpn program?
I work 3rd shift from 11p - 730a and school starts at 8a - 330p
(5 days/week)!
Am I crazy? Anyone try this before? If so, Advice! Please!

I Wish You The Best Of Luck In Your Endeavors, But I Feel I Must Warn You.
Bronx Community's Nursing Program Is Very Competitive. When You Come In, Know Exactly What Courses You Will Be Given Credit For And Know Which Ones Are Prerequisties. You Have To Do Extremely Well In Your Prereqs To Be Considered For The Program Even Though The Say The Minimum Is A C+.
Beware Of Anatomy And Physiology 1. Beware Of Pharmacology. These Two Classes Are Killers.
I Believe You Can Do It Though. You Just Have To Put Your Mind Into It Like You Said. But Keep In Mind That Nursing Is A Lot Of Sciences And Critical Thinking, Not Memorization Like Some Other Subjects.
Also, The Evening Program Is Typically From 5 To 11pm And 8-1 Or 2 On Saturdays For Clinical.
If You Need Any Advice, Let Me Know, Cause I've Been There.
Best Of Luck!

I've done that. Working full time and at the same time going to school full time. I was working 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM but I requested at my job if I could leave earlier. They granted my request and I used to leave 7:00 AM fro work to school. It was overwhelming and I had no social life at all. I even forgot my dad's birthday and father's. Fortunately, I survived that routine. I graduated PN/VN program last june and I had just taken my board exam the other day. All you need is self-discipline and determination. You'll survive ......... GOOD LUCK
