Full time on call RN hospice pay question

Published

Can anyone give me a general idea of what a full time on call hospice RN makes? This would be a full time 7 day on 7 day off position. There is a full time weekend call nurse as well so I'm not sure how this works on the weekends..I assume this is a salaried position since it is full time and there would be a salary not just the $3 or whatever call pay. I appreciate any feed back as I will be interviewing for this position next week I think..I am interested for sure but if asked about salary I have no idea..I do have home health and hospital experience but not hospice.

i'm a weekend nurse and i'm salaried......so whether I work 4 hours or 60, still same rate of pay..............................plus mileage...... I work friday 5p-monday 8a. I have a backup nurse 8-5 saturday and sunday, and outside of that, I have my clinical manager who will go out if 2 things must be taken care of at once......... some weekends are better than others. Hopefully you have consciencious case managers who fluff and tuck their patients during their visits and report any changes, so you are prepared. I make $35/hr plus mileage essentially............i get 160hours vacation a year and 40 hours sick pay......i like it, i like to solve situations and keep patients comfortable and out of the hospital setting.

Thank you - that gives me an idea of what to look for if the offer comes through. The Admin. said she was going to call me back Fri. to set up an interview but never did so I'm hoping she just got busy and will call tomorrow!
