Just starting this thread up! This is for anyone planning on applying to FSW in the fall for Spring 2019 at FSW.
I'm currently finishing up my pre-reqs this summer 2018 term and will be taking the TEAS in the fall as well as applying to the program at the Lee Campus.
Reply back with,
What campus you are planning on applying to?
What classes you are trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?
What program schedule format you will be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?
Did you take the TEAS VI exam or how did you do?
Excited to hear from you guys and to help each other out!
For the peeps going to charlotte, I have a friend thats asking if theres an option to do clinicals in the Fort Myers area. Anyone know anything about this?
I do not believe so. I think we will only do clinicals in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda. I heard that from someone that is in the program currently.
Hi everyone! I got into Lee campus traditional!!! I'm really really debating taking it or staying at FGCU and finishing my bachelors in Public Health and doing an Accelerated BSN after... if anyone have advice I'm all ears! I got in with a 3.3, 86 on TEAS, and all prereqs done.
Question... it says the program can be finished in 24 months if beginning in the Spring. Is that including the prereqs/major specific courses or only the 42 credit hours of nursing courses?

I have a bachelors degree already in Education and most of the prereqs rolled over for me. I only needed 3 prereq courses which I completed. The 24 months is just the nursing courses. FSW nursing program does not go through the summer so that is why it is 24 months. My plan is to complete my RN then roll right into the fsw BSN program. Not sure if this helps LOL
Hello,
I think both options are great. Try weighing pros and cons. You mentioned you completed prerequisites for nursing which I believe tend to be the same for most rn programs . I think for you it comes down to time. Do you want to do fsw nursing now then go back and finish bachelors? Does the time this would take matter to you? Do you rather finish bachelors then go straight for bsn? Does the time this would take matter to you? Compare those two decisions. If you are not working and have been able to get support financially that Might influence decision too. Either way I think both options are good just make sure you maintain a good GPA if you do accelerates BSN.
