FSW Fall 2015

Published

Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.

Who is joining me next fall in nursing?

I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. :arghh: lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.

I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.

I just got an email letting me know I'm an alternative. Woo! There's hope!

There's hope!!! Maybe someone will give up their seat or doesn't pass the background/drug screen ... it happens.... Crossing my fingers for you!

Dumb question:

Which CPR class, do we need for nursing? I want to register for one already. I know its too ahead but I am actually leaving on summer vacation at the end of June and I don't want it pending over my head and stress to get it down right before.

I think it's just BLS. I was wondering too because my husband actually may want to take the class with me. It's just one of those things that are good to know.

Collier first choice. Lee second

Idk if it's a just a BLS we need or the BLS for healthcare professionals and first responders.

There is so many choices to pick that I guess I will wait. I dont want to get the wrong one. I did a few years ago for my CNA but I have no idea which one it was. It expired over a year so I'm guessing, I have to redo the whole thing since I am probably not eligible for renewal.

Drug test is done!

I don't recommend going for your drug test first thing in the morning...I just had to wait 2 hours to give a urine sample!!

Yikes! :( I went to the LabCorp off Summerlin yesterday morning at 7:30am and didn't wait at all. They open at 7:00am there too. Which one did you go to?

The one in Naples on Heritage. It was close to my son's school, so I thought I would swing by real quick after I dropped him off this morning. Oh well! I am just glad I got into the program and needed to go, even if i did have to wait 2 hours!

Oh sucks on waiting. I signed in and they took me right in Cape Coral, Santa Barbara one. No wait at all but of course this was around 11 am.

I already got my drug test results now waiting fingerprints.

The one on Santa Barbara in Cape Coral is almost never busy. The one on Del Prado in Cape Coral, on the other hand, is ALWAYS packed.
