i already have a bachelors degree (in art history, haha) and have spent the last year knocking out pre-reqs for fsu's traditional bsn program but i am nervous about my gpa. i have already applied to the con and the app. deadline has ended. we are just waiting for a decision at this point and the more i think about my overall gpa, the more i freak out. my science gpa is a 4.0, but because i had no intention of going into nursing while i was an undergrad the first time around, my overall gpa (in my opinion) is not competitive enough (a 3.4). their website says that 3.6 or higher is the average for incoming students, which worries me. i have done all i can do at this point but i can't help but freak out while waiting for a decision! also, i did very well on the hesi-a2. does anyone know how much weight they put on the science gpa v. overall gpa and hesi scores? and how many students apply to fsu's traditional bsn program on average each year? part of me is like "why do they care that i got a b in northern european renaissance art?" but the other part of me is like "our grades reflect our performance as students...etc." i'm torn about my overall gpa and need some input please!!!

I would just like to know what was you GPA when you were accepted to FSU. I am in a similar situation that you were in, I have a 3.32 right now and I am trying to do the best I can to get a 3.5+.

When I was accepted to FSU? or FSU's College of Nursing? I was accepted to FSU right out of high school with a 3.5 gpa if that's what you're asking. When you graduate with a bachelor's and want to seek a second one, you apply for readmission to FSU. When I did this, I think I had somewhere around a 3.35. This is what I had when I was accepted into FSU's college of Nursing. I thought this was a low GPA based on what the website says, but they (thankfully) don't weigh their entire decision on this, lol. Good luck!

Thank you. Yep, was talking about the nursing program.
