Hello everyone!
I haven't come across a thread for FSCJ Fall 2016 yet, so I wanted to make one. I know it's a little early, but I'm really excited! Who is planning on applying for this term? If anyone has gone through the process of the program already please give us advice.
Looking forward to talking with all of you and good luck!:)
Also has anyone else heard that you can't get a job anymore with an ADN/ASN degree? I keep hearing/ seeing people talk about that, and it really aggravates me. 😩
I have been looking up adn jobs and they will hire you but u have to be in a bsn program with a year of them hiring you, that's Shands hospital
I am already going crazy as well!!!! Its so scary [emoji37][emoji37] time flies though it will be may before we know it. @meg I have nurses in my family and they have told me that most hospitals require bsn degrees now. But you can always go to fscj and then do the rn-bsn at UNF, which is what I plan on doing :)
Hello everyone im too planing to start the nursing program fall of this year i took the hesi about a year and a half ago and make a b on everything but the biology and anatony portion and did not pass and now im back to take it again next month. Ive just been nervous and afraid of failing it again so i have been running away from the test
Can someone please send me a packet at [email protected]
if you give me a couple minutes. I can scan it and email it to you.
When it gets closer to April we should start a facebook group. It seems to be a lot easier to communicate with each other judging by the group page for the summer 2016 semester. Also they seem to be having a ton of issues with time and organization of the program. Their acceptance packets haven't came in the mail yet and they only received an email so far. I believe they ended up waiting around 10 weeks to receive information on acceptance. All of their physicals, and vaccinations are supposed to be due within 2 weeks, so I can imagine they are all stressed out about the late notice, but they are sticking together through it. WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AS WELL:). Helping each other out through that process seems to be the best way for them. Like I said this program seems to be lacking a lot in organization and its not going to be easy to get through all the processing. Luckily we "should" find out if we are accepted towards the end of May is my guess which leaves us a whole entire semester to get all of this done, unlike the group ahead of us. Just some food for thought, as I examine what is going on. Lol
I completely agree :) Is there anyway we can find out what vaccinations we need other than a general physical? I would love to do it way ahead of time as well since we have so many months ahead of us! I hate that the processing is so messy and hoping it goes easier on us with the knowledge we gain from former students.

I am not sure, you may be able to call the office and find out, or a better option maybe that we could just ask someone that already got a packet.
@nicolemaza I just asked someone who got accepted to the summer semester and he says that its just normal immunizations like; MMR, Tetorifice, Varicella, Hep B, Flu, H1N1, and a TB test. He said most people have them, but you will have to get a titers lab test to show if you still have immunity for all of them.

I finally turned my application in on Friday. Is anyone else going crazy already like I am! We have at least a 3 month wait. I'm so anxious already. I keep reading all the nursing blogs. I should have turned it in later so I didn't have to worry so long. Lol
