I figured I would go ahead and start a new thread. Maybe we can help each other get through these next couple months of scrambling around.

For now....let's just celebrate!!!!:yeah::up:

:nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse::nurse:

I think the best thing for us to do is search through the old threads to find the cheapest places to have all of our titers done. I plan on calling O.P. Medical tomorrow to see about the CPR class since it's closest to me.

I know that there is a lot for us to complete, but we also need to take a moment to be happy and proud of ourselves!! I'm sure we have all had support by our family and friends but it is an accomplishment for each person on here to have pushed and made it this far!!!

Be Proud Of Yourselves!!!!!!

Now.....get back to work!!!

P.S.

I would start thinking about which hospital you want to start having your first term clinicals at. After the "lottery" this is going to be one of the things you are going to have to choose. I for one don't want to end up with a hospital that is 40 miles away!! I think you are supposed to pick your top 3.

You proactive ones who are starting on this stuff, like yesterday ;), you may already know, but just wanted to remind y'all to be aware of the things that say they have to be dated AFTER July 11th. :)

I'm still hunting for my military shot record so I can see what I've had. Ugh!!! Let us know where you find good prices. Oh, and what shoes you're all getting! I have big, wide feet and need something with a squaere-ish toe and maximum comfort. I hope I don't end up with something granny-ish!

Does anyone know what campus nights and weekends will be held at? Thanks

To all that responded to my posts...I had to get the ball rolling quickly because I will be out of town while everyone else is doing theirs....thankfully, my planned vacation doesn't interfere with any of the required dates:)

Solantic's pricing is as follows (I'm also calling my PCP for pricing this morning)

Solantic. Immunizations & Vaccines Pricing Menu

We offer a full range of immunizations and vaccines, from children to adults.

  • $75• Chickenpox (Varicella) Titer
  • $100(per shot)• Chickenpox (Varicella) Vaccine
  • $90• Hepatitis A Vaccine
  • $30• Hepatitis B Surface Antibody Titer
  • $90(per shot)• Hepatitis B Vaccine
  • $180• Hepatitis A & B Vaccine
  • $175(per shot)• HPV Vaccine

  • $150• Meningitis Vaccine (Menactra)
  • $75• Measles, Mumps & Rubella Titer
  • $75(per shot)• Measles, Mumps & Rubella Vaccine
  • $60• Pneumonia Vaccine
  • $200• Shingles (Herpes Zolstar) Vaccine
  • $45• Tetorifice Booster
  • $60• Tetorifice/Diptheria/Pertussis (Adacel)
  • $50• Vitamin B12 Shot

I read an old post about the health department being the cheapest...I don't have time afforded to me because my PCP's office said sometimes the titer results take a few days to be returned.

@77for2011, thnaks for the reminder;) and yes I didn't make my physical until the 12th... I think that was the only thing that had to be dated after the 11th.

I don't know about you all - but, I'm still in this "pinch me" moment trying to believe this is real!

I called Solantic today, too. I will most likely be going there, after the 11th. I will call the Health Dept to get some prices, too. I'll post them shortly.

Something to consider -- WHO HAS FLU VACCINES??? EVERYONE is out and they wont be restocking until Sept!!

To kill 2 Birds w/ one stone -- when you go for finger printing at The UPS Store, you may be able to get your picture taken at the same time. I believe they do passport photos. You can also make a copy of your FLDL.

And yes.... this all a still feels like a dream. Soooo proud of US!!!

Happy, happy, Joy, JOY!!!:hpygrp:

This is what I have found out,

  • If you live in St. John's County you should get your titers done at the Health Dept, THEY ARE FREE!!
  • But for Duval County residents, you're out of luck. :(
  • Passport photos @ CVS are 2/$7.99 with an online coupon
  • PPD @ DCHD ((904)253-1070) for $12
  • Physical @ Physicians Medical Center ((904)265-1942) for $40
  • MMR, Varicella, Hep B, & TDAP @ Solantic for $75, $75, $30, & $60

  • Seasonal Flu will be available the middle of August @ Solantic for $30, but I think it is free from the Health Dep
  • CPR cert @ Advanced Patient Transportation (if they answer the dang phone (904)278-4274 x 227) for $20

That is all. :)

Question regarding LIST OF FORMS TO BE SUBMITTED TO ......

Numbers 1,6-12 can ALL be completed at a Primary Care MD's office, correct?

It can be primary or urgent (like Solantic).

Yay!!! I heard some other cohorts had a FB page, which would also be cool. Would you all want to get on there?

What is the FB page called?

Try on the sketcher shape ups. They are kinda ugly, but super comfy.

CONGRATS to us all. I'm still on cloud nine. I'm currently in AZ, wasn't expecting to head home til the 18th, because letters weren't suppose to come out so early. Now I'm heading home Monday. I already did my background check online, scheduled my fingerprints for the 18th, physical for the 19th, and CPR on the 23rd. Spoke to Dr, and my titers from August work, I had to get the same titers for UF Shands where I volunteer. My husband is military, so I can get my ppd and tetorifice done as soon as I get back.

My good friend and super study buddy got in too, and we're so excited to finish this journey together. I look forward to meeting all of you and becoming friends for life. As I hear that other RN students will be your ROCK.

Can't wait to meet you all. I'm days too!
