frustrated in TX

Does anyone out there know the secret to getting your ATT in TX? Apparently it is a big mystery to the TX BON. They have given me the run-around for two solid weeks. I am so frustrated!:banghead: I call daily (one guy knows my voice). The customer service (that's who you talk to after being on hold 30minutes) can't tell you anything. I have left several voice mails with TWO different supervisors and have yet to hear back from them. They keep saying my affidavit is not there, or rather it may be here but nobody is able to look for it-something about being shorthanded. I really don't care. I work shorthanded nearly everyday and am still expected to do my job. I paid to have another over-nighted today. This is absolutely ridiculous. If anyone has a number, email, or anything that will help, I would appreciate it. I know I am ranting, but I am at the end of my rope.

good grief ..after reading your reply on my post i would be tempted to drive down there... i have been reading all over the epn and have not heard of such issues with the tbon...it is ridiculous what you are having to go through...this is a big state and they have to have more than one person that puts these affidavits in ...i mean don't traditional students need a affidavit after graduation ...look at how many traditional lvn and rn programs texas has .... there is too many students for one person to handle all this paperwork... start calling every hour on the hour ...have your husband kids and everyone you know tie up their phone lines with this issue ...

Teri,

A friend of mine had trouble with getting her LVN ATT, too. She finally found somewhere on the BON website that they have 72 hours (I think) to resolve your complaint, return your call, give you an answer, etc. After she "mentioned" this to them, she had her ATT the next day...this was LVN, though.

Good Luck! Hope you get it soon!

Is there no e-mail contact info for nursing licenses? I went back to the apply for a RN license page and there was an e-mail for the nursing division there (this is for FL though). I e-mailed them (I too have been waiting) and their automated e-mail says to expect an answer in about 48 hrs. Today I got an e-mail back confirming they got my transcript and now it's in the "review" section and that will take another 10 days to okay... I swear it's like pulling teeth...

Well I finally got it this morning!!! I got hold of a really great employee who made me her top priority. She started on Friday afternoon, called me back later Fri afternoon and told me she would get on it first thing Monday. She did!! She called me just before 10 this morning to let me know I had been approved. I am so excited, now it is almost over. I immediately emailed the TX BON to let them know how great she is and how difficult it is to communicate with them.
