Nurses General Nursing

I've moved to Northern California three months ago and I have been applying non stop since then. I've received emails that say the positions have been filled, others say I don't qualify for the position I've applied for. I've gone in person to speak with human resources/ recruitment to personally leave my resume. I don't know what to do. I got my hopes up when I was connected with someone who is a lead nurse, that told me they would give my resume to their boss, but nothing happened on that end. I know I don't have years of experience ( 1.5 years on the floor and 10 months at a SNF) Should I apply for an entry level? I don't know what to do.

@GM2RN I applied to Nurse Choice on Thursday and got a call next day Friday with offers. I'm not too familiar with agency nurse either but I thought that was quick. Maybe because it just takes so long to hear from other employer prospects. I appreciate the advice and I will be sure to do plenty of research before I accept.

I'm not surprised they responded so quickly. Recruiters get paid for filling contracts. That's why you need to be careful because some will push you to take a position that may not be in your best interests. Someone mentioned travel nursing and that's a viable option as well. Also know that you can work with more than one agency/recruiter at a time to make sure you are getting enough work to satisfy your situation. Good luck!
