Don't let that discourage you from pursuing your dreams. Every one has a past and mistakes they aren't exactly proud of. Have you taken your prerequisites for nursing yet? If not, start there. Those classes will bring your gpa up before applying to nursing school. Take them one at a time if you need to, to ensure you make an A in the class. There's always a way, you just have to find it. Keep your head up!
Nursing programs differ on how they evaluate/calculate GPA. Some use cumulative, but others may only include your pre-requisites. See if you can find some programs that have the second option and focus your efforts on them. A 'Plan B' would be to obtain your LPN and then move through the LPN-RN route.... those programs tend to be less competitive, GPA-wise. But - keep in mind that from here on, you'll need to adopt a very serious and intense approach because nursing education standards are very rigid and second chances are not the norm.
BTW, we refer to those guys as "physicians" because the title of "doctor" is awarded to anyone who achieves a terminal degree - including nurses

Hello,
Today i realized i have probably did the dumbest mistake, and need guidance. I am a 24 year old college grad with a degree in family and human development. for the longest i wanted to be a doctor until i came upon a nurse who changed my entire outlook on nurses. That motivated me to be a nurse, to make a long story short due to some hardships without my first undergrad degree i graduated with a 2.6 GPA. i want to be a nurse but i dont know where i should start as my foundation to even begin?
All responses are welcomed.
