Frustrated with my agency!!!!!!!!!

I would try to find some other nurses in hh and ask around about agency reputations before you change employers. Also remember that things could change over a matter of time. If you stick it out, the situation might improve in six or nine months. I would suggest that you find a second agency to work for. You can decrease your hours with the poorly organized agency and concentrate on working for the better agency. Good luck.

Also, I forgot to add that the care plan is only updated every 60 days anyway, so you may be misinterpreting the time delay with this. The update can be noted by keeping the suspense copy of the doctor's order with the 485 until the new 485 is received. This should be done anyway, to make certain that the change was made and signed off by the doctor. If your agency is lax about getting copies of things back to the home (some agencies just won't do this), you should write up the change on an order and keep the copy at the home. You know when something gets done if you are the person who does it.

And yes, this is common.

im working for a HH agency. (no name will be mention here) But i just want to say that they are also disorganized. They are up my a** for the notes to be on time. I have no prob with that. But when it comes to paying me for the visits, they keep missing to input the visits i made into my paycheck. I work hard for every penny here. Pay for my own gas, stay up late and chart. Drive my a** out to get supplies for pts. And when i receive a paycheck it's inadaquate. Then the agony of reminding what visit they've missed on my paycheck, etc, etc. It's a big waste of energy. I think agencies are greedy bastards. They purposely do this so they can rip u off.

Go find a hosp. At least u are guaranteed a full time pay and insurance coverage!

BTW, they give u an opening case bc they pay u less than they would pay an RN. They are greedy. Trust me.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna leave HH. Its not for me. Plus, I'm really sick. Like being hospitalized sick. I was going to give my notice today, but was unable to. I wont be able to work tomorrow, maybe not even Wednesday. Haha I kinda wanna quit over the phone! Or write a letter of resignation and turn it in.

LPN's are not allowed to do SOC, D/C, recerts or ASV's at my home care agency. I believe it's because their not allowed by law in my state. We have 2 LPN's but they can only do regular visits.
