I've always seen myself going to frontier for CNM but would really like to attain my FNP as well. I know this is a post masters option at frontier, but how involved?

Vanderbilt has a combined program of the two the can be completed in less than 2 years. Is it worth the investment? The COS for frontier looks more comprehensive. Will frontier make me a better CNM?

I think both have great programs. I went to an info session for Vanderbilt and while the program looks awesome, I can't justify the cost. It is extremely expensive.

As a Vanderbilt grad, I'm resurrecting my username to say - the Vanderbilt name is enticing, but I really wish I would have gone to Frontier... The financial cost has really not been worth it for me. I don't feel like I can't pay my loans, but it truly is an exorbitant amount of money.... You learn to be a midwife in clinical and on the job - the book stuff you can learn anywhere. So I say - save your money!

Blackbird it's good to hear you say that. I felt that as well. It looks like an amazing program but not worth the cost.

Hands down Frontier. The cost is less, and it is ranked #1 in the nation for CNM. When you graduate from Frontier you will be ready to take & pass your certification boards.

For the 2016 rankings, Frontier is #24 and Vanderbilt is ranked #1 in terms of Nurse-Midwifery school.

The rankings really mean nothing, go with the cheaper school. Frontier is one of the oldest NP/CNM programs in the country, and as far as I know they are well respected.
