Frontier interview scheduled

Well, I went ahead and sent in my application to Frontier. I have an interview scheduled for next month. I'm so stinkin' excited!!:roll

It seems like only yesterday that I first thought about becoming a mw...and here I sit almost 8 years later closer to that dream than ever!!

Yes you arrange you own clinicals. You do this for Frontier and also for the University of Cincinnati online program. That is what is nice about working in Labor and Delivery now because of the connections. I already have my preceptor lined up and she is already approved by Frontier because she has was a preceptor for a former student. This midwife works at an OB office and she delivered my last baby. I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful preceptor when I start.

I looked at Frontier. Do you have to arrange your own clinicals or does the school do that?

You have to arrange your own clinicals. It is also like this at University of Cincinnati CNM online program. This is why it is so helpful to work in Labor and Delivery because you have access to a lot of connections. I have a wonderful preceptor lined up. She is already Frontier approved because she has been a preceptor to a previous student. She is a friend of mine and works as a CNM in an OB office. She delivered my last baby. I am so thankful and so lucky to have her as a preceptor when the time comes.
