Published

Well, I went ahead and sent in my application to Frontier. I have an interview scheduled for next month. I'm so stinkin' excited!!:roll

It seems like only yesterday that I first thought about becoming a mw...and here I sit almost 8 years later closer to that dream than ever!!

Wish me luck!:)

Just found out I am accepted to the June class. I can't wait!

Congrats, you must be very excited!! Amy

You can apply before you have your BSN. I had planned on waiting until September, but I talked to Jeanette Woods, and she told me I could apply for the June class. On my application, I wrote that I had 2 more classes, and 2 weeks ago they asked me to fax my degree audit, which had those 2 classes on it showing that I would graduate. Some people don't have a BSN, they enter the bridge class.

I think I may go ahead and do the same. Do you know how many they accept into each class? I know the deadline for application for June is in April. Thanks for all the info! Amy

I'm not sure how many they take, they did tell me that I had to wait so long after my interview because they were doing the Feb. and March applications first. I know the deadline is April 28th, so I'm sure you still have time.

Yes, I was thinking about applying for the June class. With my BSN I did not have to take statistics and I know it is a requirement, that I think I have to finish before applying. Do You know? Thanks, Amy

a statistics course within 10 years (either an upper level undergraduate or graduate course) for all post-baccalaureate msn students. applicants may choose to take a college level statistics course at a local college or take it on-line at the fsmfn n404 statistics. see the statistics course prerequisites (http://www.midwives.org/statistics.asp) for the course requirements. i got this from the web site.

Wait a minute. I thought you needed at least one year of experience! I'm finishing my ADN in 60 days. Can I apply for the Fall class?

You do need experience. I am in an RN to BSN program now. From Frontier's web site - Have one year of nursing experience. The Admissions Committee may consider other significant experience in health care.

Ok, that's what I thought. It wasn't clear that you had experience.

I looked at Frontier. Do you have to arrange your own clinicals or does the school do that?

I also have exp. I have been a nurse for about 5 years now. I just am finished up my BSN. I have my ADN. I will be done in 3 weeks! Yahoo :)
