From Home health to correctional nursing -

Hi I have been traveling as HH/Hospice nurse for several years and had a recent itch to maybe try correctional. Do I need a year in corrections to travel? Thanks, J

My guess would be no, but an agency would give you a definitive answer. But before you take a contract, it might be worth shadowing a corrections nurse to see if it is an environment you can live with for 3 months. I am just guessing again here, but I would imagine that even if you have an interest, the reality may be less interesting.
