I am currently a Case Manager for a small private home health company that I love. Independence, flexibility, great clients (for the most part:)) I graduated about 1 1/2 years ago and it was my first job.
I am moving to a job in a TCU not because I was unsatisfied with my job or employer, but because I wasn't learning enough or keeping sharp on my skills. My clientele was not usually very complicated and there was no one to ask questions of or to watch and learn from. Plus, my eventual goal is to work in an ER and this is getting my foot in the door.
I would like advice from experienced TCU nurses on how to be great at what I do!
I've worked on a Transitional Care Unit for 3 years (my first job in nursing). OP, please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have. I think it's a fabulous area...you see varied diagnoses & I've learned tons over the past three years.
