Stars glad the laptop is working again

Dianah glad the hot weather is finally past

Tweety glad the damage for you was limited, though sorry to hear your friend will need to move.  Hope the power comes back on soon

NJ22 glad there have been no new injuires

Another good day at work, not too busy but not completely dead either.  Was quiet after work too, mostly just exercised and relaxed

Nothing unusual at work or after work today either.  A quiet end to a quiet week

Have been looking at vacation plans for next year. Might return to Milwaukee with my cousin, but if she isn't available I've started thinking about other destinations

Will be quite a bit warmer today, up to the mid 80s, although the fall weather will return again tomorrow

So glad to hear you're OK, Tweety !    I was thinking about you, and an old friend  of mine who  now lives in Lutz, Florida.  Hope the power comes back on soon.  🤗

Hello to all on this sunny Friday. I think the temps will be in the 70's.

Nannie was already up in the chair when I came downstairs, so I fed her before I took her in the bathroom to dress her. Now she is showing me how her sweater sleeves can be pulled down below her jacket sleeves and her shoes match her socks and pants. I told her that I know what she has on because I helped her get dressed this morning, and I wouldn't DARE put something on her that doesn't "match" or that she does not like. She said, "You're so smart!" I shook my head no and said, "No, I am not smart.....I am BRILLIANT!" At which point her mouth dropped open and she sagged back into her chair seat. It was a perfect reaction!

And bless her weary heart, she has already begun to fall asleep in the recliner! YAY! That means I can finish rearranging the bedside.  I am going back to the stackable shelving (11" x 11" squares) and taking away the small dresser with drawers. The drawers weren't put in correctly to "their" spots, and some of them stubbornly stuck and some of them came out too easily. And the top of that dresser is way too small to hold all the things I heap up on it, so there is ALWAYS something falling onto the floor, causing me to cuss with REAL cusswords. Mean Old Mr Gravity has it in for me  and I am *)^#*^&*(/@ tired of having to get up to bend over and pick things up!

SiL  called me last night and read me the findings that were on her MRI report, which she asked for, but her doc hasn't seen yet. Basically it involves L-3-4-5, so her lower spine has two vertebra(e?) that are wonky, pinching two separate nerves, and there is a herniation in the vicinity. She doesn't know when her next appt is w/ her doc, and suspects that even then he will refer her to a "bone-guy" which will mean another gawd-knows-how-long-she-will-have-to-wait-for-another # of weeks before she can be seen there.....and then there is the question of what treatment or surgery she will need to repair it all. At least she has had the MRI done, which is progress, but slow coming, and she still HURTS!.

She said she thinks (and hopes) one of the docs will take her off working at the ABC store, because she does a lot of heavy box lifting there. I would just quit, but that's me; and maybe they need the $ of the pay she gets for that supposedly "part-time" work, which she has a hard time saying "NO" to when they call and ask her to fill in. BUT, she says, that will give her a little more time to help with Nannie. Uh-huh, we'll see about that. Maybe the hand of God will come down and make an empty space for Nannie at the Senior Daycare center, which would be "ideal" compared to the way things are going....or NOT going....here on the home-front.

One of our neighbors has been taking Ozempic and she is barely recognizable because she has lost well over 100 lbs, as far as I can tell. Her husband is living out in the tow-along camper in the back yard. Maybe because he has a need for anger control; I don't think he physically abuses her, but he is majorly cranky, so it would seem that their solution to their current difficulties is at least keeping him around "for the kids". He mows the grass and trims and edges it, like, every third day, so I guess he is useful in that respect. I don't really talk to either of them except to wave and say "Hello!", but others have dribbled some gossip my way, even though I haven't asked to know anything.

That's the scoop for now----

Hello all!

I am tired today and have aches and pains in the neck and trapezius area, I assume from the Covid vaccine yesterday.  Dh had wanted to go out for lunch, but we decided to do that tomorrow, with oldest ds.  I rested this afternoon, and then did some exercises, and used some arnica cream on my neck and upper back.  Seems better so far.

Not much else going on here.  It's dh's 70th birthday today!  We will celebrate tomorrow at lunch.

Have a good evening/weekend!
