NJ22 those do sound like chilly temps

Hi Dianah

Tweety not surprising given all the respiratory illnesses out there

Was a busy day at work, in the near future I'm going to be assisting with some triage stuff, so I need access to a certain dashboard.  However I'm currently not able to access it, even after spending quite a bit of time on the phone with IT.  Which slowed things down,  otherwise it would have been an OK day, even with someone off

The rest of the day was fine, stayed in and exercised and watched Star Trek

Hoping for a calm day at work, should be unless something unexpected happens

We're in the midst of a Winter storm warning, 6-12 inches expected and winds up to 45mph and will only get up to the 30s, so I won't  be going out today.  Except briefly to take the garbage out and brush off the car.  The snow is expected to continue until almost noon tomorrow.  Will stay in and exercise.  Tomorrow morning I'll also stay in and bake cookies

Good morning....

Except.... I went in to the bathroom, and when I came out, I found that Momo had peed on the bed! ARGH! Fortunately it was just on the fitted sheet and mattress (not the down blanket, thank goodness). When I told her she was a bad girl, she immediately went down to the den.

So I stripped off the fitted sheet and tried to sop up what urine I could from the mattress with a towel, and then turned the ceiling fan on high. I hope this isn't indicative of the rest of the day! It isn't raining yet, but I also haven't gone in to get (potentially wet) Nannie up yet, and there's also the rest of the towels from 2 days ago, etc, to finish laundering. ~sigh~

I also had to put capsaicin patches on my hip and thigh and down my lateral right thigh because of some gypsies that came to visit ? I had taken my meds around 8:30 AM, so I wasn't expecting their "company".... but, oh well.

I'm going to make a cup of coffee and enjoy a few moments of peace and quiet before I do the Nannie-Morning routine.

Cleaned out two large cardboard boxes from 2nd shelf in Nannie's linen closet. In the top half of one were cards she had saved but never looked at after the box was put on the shelf, and the rest of the box was filled with scraps of cloth that were leftover from stuff she sewed, like curtains and decorative crapola, I was contemplating giving them to a person who does quilting, but found several candles had been stored in between stacks of cloth, so alot of the cloth had kinda soaked wax into it. Must've been awfully hot in that closet! But at least now I have a whole 'nuther shelf on which to store her sheets. Not going after the top shelf yet; it appears to be old Christmas Decorations, but I'm going to wait to clear them out.

I have the outside recycling bin crammed full, and I had put it out at the curb, but the bin wasn't picked up and emptied. The recycling wastebasket in the kitchen is crammed full, also. The front 'formal' living room is filled with boxes of things to distribute to the proper disposal places.....aerosol cans, useless electric items (old curling iron, hair dryers, shavers, dead extension cords, etc) and other junk that can't go into the recycling bin or trash bin.

The 'good' news is that I have gotten 3 more loads of laundry done. The bad news is that there are a bunch of flannel sheets and more still-wet towels to wash, dry, and fold.. WHY do people who don't sleep in a king-size bed anymore KEEP all the king-size sheets?  They did come in handy during the flood in the den. I am saving them for when (if?) the bed in the future guest room ever comes back into use. It is king-size, so maybe if we ever have 'company', someone can sleep in there. Will continue with wearing out the washer and dryer until there's NO MORE LAUNDRY left to do! Speaking of sheets, I suppose I ought to go check Nannie's bed to see if she made it up wet this morning. And I will have to remake my bed once the ceiling fan has done it's job of drying out Momo's 'accident' on the mattress.

Nannie has been very good and has slept through the afternoon!! I'll put something in the microwave for supper, in about 1/2 hr....SiL had sent some leftover casserole over with Nannie, when BiL  drove her home last night.

Okay, the dryers buzzer has just gone off, so it's time to fold dry stuff, and switch washer load into the dryer and start another load in the washing machine. ? Are we having fun yet? Maybe once this laundry nightmare has been taken care of (and we've not had any more floods from today's rain or Mondays), I can go back to taking care of the stuff I want to do in MY room, and ALSO back-hoe-ing my small room which is still a heaping mess!

Fleh, Bah, pfftt! I need time off from my time ON!

Ugh. Nannie's bed was soaked, and gives me more laundry to do. I have to start remaking her bed, but not until after I eat some supper. I 'used up' my breakfast a long time ago, I am HONGRY! (and worn out, tired, pitiful, and not just a little overwhelmed.)

Oh boy No Stars. You have to deal with a LOT of urine! I love your strength. I know it must drain you, but you just deal. Huge respect.

Hang in there, No Stars!  Thankful you have a washer and dryer on-site.  Hanging that many wet towels and sheets outside on a line would be a job!  Not that doing the laundry, in itself, ISN'T a job!

Not much going on today.  I got burritos from our favorite spot, and filled up the rental car with gas.  I have been reading, and finally finished one book, a Nell Goddin murder mystery set in France.  We have nothing planned for the weekend, either.  Kinda whiling away the time till our car will be done with body work, probably end of next week.

Have a good evening!
