NJ22 I hope the hearing program can help her, since the neuro wasn't much help

Stars I can understand not wanting a new phone, especially since your current one is working well

Tweety like the term "work wife".  My friend Denise from church calls me her "church husband"

Work was not bad yesterday, got quieter towards the end of the day, though earlier there were moments where it got crazy.  It looks like I may get to transfer a very complex case, which will be a relief

Rest of the day was fairly ordinary.  Had counseling over lunch, we agreed I would start with the dating apps next month and bring counseling to a close then.  Exercised and went to the store after work for a salad as the chicken I had made didn't work out.

Nothing unusual going on today, glad that it's Friday

Going to be in the upper 30s today, snow expected in the morning tomorrow

Good morning!

My work wife and I enjoy working together.  We are the oldest one's there.  We vent a lot but sometimes she can be a bit much.  I can't engage that they hate her for not scheduling her to do charge when she told them she didn't want to do charge.

I was up early and did some cooking and washed the sheets.  I thought I turned the stove off and sat down on the internet and burned some lentils.  But only the bottom and safe most of it.  Hopefully it won't have a burned taste from the bottom being burned but I don't want to throw it all away.  Meh.....

Nothing much else going on.  Need to go to the gym.  Have a great day!

I was awakened by cell phone, the TV/WiFi company left a message that they are preparing for a possible power outage from the storm, and if we lost power, we should call the power company. Huh. Well, the sun is shining brightly, so when I came down to the den, I turned on the TV to see what the noontime news says about the storm. Apparently the 'bad weather' won't be starting until later tonight sometime?  It will be "really nasty weather" They are calling it "Our First Winter Storm." ....I do think it is going to be a mess....but I'm talkin' about at WalMart, with people crowding in for the usual pre-storm 'bread and milk' run. I do need to go pick up some med refills, and if we do have problems with the power, I will need some 'D' batteries in my lantern; I can't stand NOT being able to read if the power goes out while I am still awake!

Guess I'll go get Nannie up. Bleh. But she does need to be up in the recliner, if I go out. I should probably call SiL to see if she is planning to stop over here today.//  She is at work and can come over after 3 PM, she said. I told her I am just going to get the Nannie-person up and stuff my dog in the crossbody pouch and head out, and get things done early.

Momo heard SiL's voice on the phone and started leaping at my shoulder with her front paws. Wonder when Momo will quit associating SiL's voice or presence, or me fiddling with my purse, to be signs of my imminent departure?

Nothing to it but to do it....

Later, y'all!

Doncha know it....I forgot batteries! May have to run out to the convenience store to get some....just-in-case.

I took a little longer (being out) than I thought I would BECAUSE ?I locked my purse and keys in the card when I parked at WalMart. The good thing was, I had my phone in my pocket, so I could call AAA. It took 'em about 15 to 20 minutes to get there, but I had Momo in my pouch/dog carrier, so I was able to keep her against my body to keep her from being too cold.

Okay, it is 4:05 PM and I need to go get those batteries, Maybe I'll pick up a few scratch-off cards while I am there. Sure would like to win some $$$!

Anyway, I'll prolly come back by here.... laydah awn!

Huh. I just went to get the batteries and could not buy any lottery or sweepstakes tickets because the store has just changed hands, and the new owners haven't got any set up yet. Maybe they have to be okay'd by the state to sell the tickets, I dunno. Wasn't about to run down the road another 5 miles just to buy tickets. The thing that actually bothers me about the  store being sold is that because the guy who used to own it has known my MiL and FiL forever, I got check-cashing privileges there. If I get low on cash and need gas, I could always write a check for the gas. Now....who knows?

Ho hum day. Intermittent rain. I took the dogs out for a walk, but cut it short because the wind felt so bitey. I shortened some pjs for dh, cleaned up the kitchen, and watched an episode of Call the Midwife. I should do some sorting to fill the donate box, but bleh. dh and I have decided that we will move to a smaller house in about 2 years, so we are seriously trying to downsize. He took a box of old VCR tapes and music CDs to the Humane Society thrift store. I have a bunch of glass serving dishes and baking dishes to get rid off. And a box of old cookbooks that I haven't looked at in about 10 years.

OMG, It's me AGAIN!

I went to get the beds ready because it is almost time to put Nannie to bed. Well, RATS, I forgot to check the beds this morning. AUGH! Nannie's was all wet, and Momo had peed on my bed! So I just had to remake both beds. Can't do the laundry until tomorrow, so there's a heap of bedding on the floor in front of the washer. Bleh.
