Fresno State Spring 2019 Applicant Cycle

I wanted to start a thread for anyone applying to the Fresno State Nursing Program for Spring 2019. I had questions about GPAs and TEAS scores and if maybe anyone knew if this cycle would involve the holistic approach or simply be GPA based. Also does anyone have an idea about when we might hear back? Let's get to know each other! :)

Is anyone else here on the alternate list waiting to hear back on the second round of acceptances? I know the first round of people accepted had to have their response sent in Monday the 24th. I'm hoping we hear soon!

I tried calling school of nursing at CSUF to find out answers to any of our questions, but they transferred me to Admissions and Recruitment. Nobody picked up the phone.

If anyone is in the program currently, could you answer our questions on the board? What are the stats in getting in? Range for gpa and teas typically? How much is tuition for post bacc? When is orientation? Do we have to take cpr class and when is it?

Its funny Fresno State wants answers to your admission decision, however, UC system has not sent out their selections yet.

If you're on the alternate list, you still may get in later on bc of UCs delayed responses.

I wasn't a current student at Fresno State for Spring '19 selection, but did receive a degree in accounting at CSUF and going back for bsn.

Oh I see! So most people probably sent in an acceptance for Fresno state while waiting to hear back from other schools. The lack of information they are giving out is a bummer. What UCs did you apply to?

Hello everyone! I will be starting the nursing program in Spring 2019 as well. I've been wondering if anyone has heard back about registration or about orientation? Or does anyone know when we should expect to hear back from the nursing program?

Hi Cynthia!! Congrats on getting into the program!! So close to becoming a nurse. Received an email today. January 11 is orientation and we register for classes that day too. We will get an email at the end of the month for info on orientation. So nice to be informed and not left in the dark.

Hi Snobum! Sorry for thr late reply. I applied to UC Davis for Masters entry nursing program. Just received an email I passed the prelims now applying for secondary application which requires essay and resume. Good luck in getting into the program of your choice!

Hi! I am a pre nursing student at Fresno state who will be applying for spring 2020 & was wondering if any of you know what the cut off prerequisite GPA was for your cohort?!

I applied for the fall 2019. I was rejected but was told the cutoff for that cohort was a 3.89
