Hi, I'm also waiting for the results later this month. This is my first semester applying tot the nursing program. I took the TEAS and scored an 89%. I have mostly A's in my pre-reqs, but my overall GPA isn't great. I wasted a lot of time taking classes for a major that I was not passionate about, and my grades show it. I wish I realized a lot earlier that nursing was what I wanted to do. That's okay though, I'm remaining positive and know that I will get started as soon as it's meant to be! Good luck to everyone else in the lottery.

Hi! I'm glad I found this article. I am also anxiously waiting for this lotto. I too applied in September, 2014 and didn't get in so I forwarded my application. I'm nervous for the results this time around! I really hope we do get in. It's been such a long wait for me and I keep beating myself up for not having my adn completed already (I'm 24). Those prerequisites sure did take some time though considering I did absolutely everything for Fresno States nursing program thinking I could get in. Yeah right! I feel like Fresno City is my only real option. I am very dedicated to my studies and have been a full time student since 2009 with the exception of this semester off. (I've taken way too many bs classes along the way!) I have an interview scheduled next week for SJVC's program but I'm not sure if it's the best option. I mean tuition there is 58,000 compared to only 7,000 at FCC. SJVC's adn doesn't really transfer to many schools either. I'm at a loss here. I am torn between waiting until I get in at FCC, going to SJVC (if I get passed the interview), or just trying to go to an adult school to get my lvn first. I wish I could go back in time and start over I think I'd have a better chance at getting in somewhere if I could erase my academic history and start over. I mean my gpa isn't too bad (above 3.0) but nowhere close to 4.0. Life happens and I've learned from my mistakes that's for sure! I feel I am definitely ready to take this challenge on. I also have medical assisting training so hopefully that will come in handy! I'll continue to pray that we get into FCC nursing program for Fall 2015. Hopefully we do then we can be study buds!
