Honestly, this year I’m not nervous. It’s my 4th time applying and I’ve gotten pretty discouraged. Everyone I kept in touch with from the pre req classes have all gotten in and either completed the program or are currently in it. If it’s meant to be it will be, but I’m not stressing out this time around. Also, many nurses are changing their career paths because of the RaDonda Vaught case. So I don’t get why it continues to be so difficult to get into a program when there was already a RN shortage and now it’s getting worse.

Same for me! 4th year applying. Usually at work I would be telling all my co workers I applied again and to wish me luck, but I just kept it to myself this year.

Yup! I’ve been with you in these threads every year LOL. I hope this is our year!! But instead of stressing and getting angry when I don’t get in I’ve decided it will happen when the time is right and I’m enjoying being a SAHM while I wait. We should all focus on enjoying Easter with family and hopefully we get good news next week.

It’s changed every year on how they manage the results. It’s ridiculous! I understand why we are locked out right now due to it crashing in previous years but now we can’t even see if we have been marked ELIGIBLE before the lottery. Last year I never knew bc it changed from pending to and error message to unselected. I wish they’d expand the class size to accommodate more since they get over 1200 applications.

Ya I know so many people who graduated or got in first try, I kind of hate it here in TN, wish I could have gotten into FCC.
Also the reason nursing programs will forever be hard to get into is the lack of teachers. They can only have so many students per one professor, no one wants to teach everyone wants to do, the people leaving the profession are only going to make it worse because you need an RN and usually a BSN or higher to teach too.
