Thank you! How was your experience applying? Did you get in your first try?

Applying was relatively easy process. I feel like its more nerve wracking now having to mail it in rather than drop it off in person like I did because you personally handed it to them compared to praying the post office will deliver it and not make any errors.

Yes I got in my first try as did several others in my cohort. You guys have to wait a month longer than we did to find out which sucks though.

Last year was slightly worse. It was the week of the 24th of April, not to say a week earlier is much better. The wait is agonizing.

Thank you for your response! The wait is an extremely nerve wrecking situation, but let’s hope it is worth it! Knowing that some people manage to get in on their first try really does calm some nerves! I know it is all luck but I truly hope I have that luck! What’s meant to be will be though! How is the program itself?

Feeling depressed today.  I didn’t get my course substitution approved.  I felt like al my education is wasted in another state.  I won’t able to get into the program. Good luck to everyone! Getting into nursing program is not easy.

I felt the same way! Hmm well it definitely has gone by fast thats for sure LOL

1st semester- is the easiest but its quite different than pre-reqs so it seems hard in the beginning.

2nd Semester- By far the hardest for me and for a lot of people. This is the semester people often have to repeat due to failing a class.

3rd Semester- Compared to 2nd this one was a sigh of relief. Much more manageable.

4th Semester- Just starting it but it seems like a lot in terms of studying and the work you have to put in especially in these covid times.

I can answer more specific questions if anyone has them here or if you want to send me a message.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the response and I wish you the best throughout your journey. It’s almost complete for you but it’s a huge accomplishment especially during these rough times. You should be very proud!

Sorry to hear that! I would definitely try finding answers and solutions to what can be done though! Maybe not everything is in the trash! Good luck with future endeavors!

I’m submitting my application tomorrow!! Prayers for everyone ???

What has clinicals been like since the pandemic started? Are you worried you haven’t gotten the same hands on experience pre-pandemic? (my hope is the pandemic is over if I get in but, who knows at this rate)

Do you get any OR experience or a choice to do a rotation in the OR? The OR is my ultimate goal, but as far as I know there’s no clinicals in the OR ?. I know Fresno State has a preceptorship where you can choose a speciality but my chances of getting in to State are slim to none.

Hey everyone! just submitted my application. This is my third year applying so fingers crossed. I just want to double check, if you've previously applied then you don't have to submit all the supporting documents again besides the confirmation email and that other acknowledgment one, right? Unless anything needs to be updated but if everything is the same then I don't need to send transcripts or those other documents like degrees or certificates? Or do we? LOL I'm just worried and don't want to be ineligible for something so silly as to not understanding what they really want.

OMG 3rd time?! Have you been eligible each year you've applied? Wow.
