Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

Yes- but mine just changed on the application status, didn’t know if anybody else was stressing that part ? I’m just glad to see something new on there, makes you wonder if you even did it right LOL

Not sure if they use it to indicate you did it right or if they use it to say they looked through your stuff. Either way I’d think if they looked through your stuff and deemed it correct or incorrect they’d change your eligibility too. The system is so screwy.

Yeah I’d be glad to see any type of change. Mine doesn’t even say the complete on it. It’s still blank and pending. ?

Last year mine didn’t change until like a week or so before the lotto was drawn.

hey guys, mine still says pending... anybody else still have this? Im manifesting that ill get in so much ?

I’m still pending. I reached out to ask if there’s an issue with the system just to make sure and was told “wait for the lottery, it hasn’t been conducted yet”, even though I was only asking for the status change for eligibility. Apparently my question wasn’t clear enough...???

  No offense, but you shouldn’t manifest at all. There’s over 1000 applicants and they only take 220 and it’s via “lottery”. This is my 2nd time applying. They did the same thing to me last year. I changed a few days before they conducted the lottery. It’s not worth stressing over and it’s completely out of your control. You’ve done what is required to apply, now it’s the waiting game unfortunately. I have also discovered that it is highly likely that our area is the only one that operates like this and takes months to give answers while other schools out of state give results in weeks after the period has closed. I’m looking to go out of state because of how crappy it is here. Again, I in no way are trying to hurt your feelings. Just saying the truth.

Yes still pending, this year apparently was record breaking on the amount of applicants.

I heard this year was record breaking on the amount of applicants. Definitely not making feel like I’ll get picked this year either ??‍♀️

I don't know if manifesting works, but I certainly try! 

I'm also still pending. I'm not too worried though, there is plenty of time left.

Tbh it’s not worth going out of state unless you change your residence or can eat out of state tuition cost, I been looking into Tennessee because I have family there and the tuition is way more even in state, the nearest city college to my family is triple Fresno city and you have to worry about stuff transferring too, can go to other places in California as well. Fresno state even gave their results only a month after their application period ended and they must have had record breaking applicants because they basically took only 4.0 and even people with 4.0 got waitlisted. 
 

Part of me wonders if it takes so long at Fresno City because they don’t utilize a program like NursingCAS, or what not or electronic submission that can read the documents or scores and mark eligibility. I guess that’s how they keep their tuition low, not using different technologies like that or having Apple Computers or an Apple store in the basement of their book store

Uggh don’t say that, I’m a numbers person and that means my probability of getting picked is lower ? 

If they got 1200 applicants, that brings it to a 1 and 6... for analogy I was reading an article today, 1 and 6 people in most states have been vaccinated for COVID, and that’s not that many people. But unlike this whole lotto thing, I can at least say I’m that 1 out of 6 people that has been vaccinated.

@Darkascension I’ve looked in Florida, Texas and Oklahoma. Are you referring to a state community college cost difference or UC? I got a quote from Florida and with my units, it would be 18k for out of state for an ADN but I would bridge online for 10k. Still Under the cost of national and SJVC! The cost of living in those states are half of what it is here too.
