Starting a thread for applicants in 2021 year.

Mine says application status: complete and then evaluation status: pending. It says that the evaluation process is being done in alphabetical order so maybe people with last names in the beginning of the alphabet will have something different. Can anyone say if that’s true? My last name starts with a L so nothing yet from me.

The wait will make you nervous for sure. This is my third time applying, last year this one girl it was her 5th and she finally got in I was so happy for her.

Mine still just says pending with my status blank. I’m a reapplicant as well. My last name starts with M

This is my second year applying. My last name starts with a B, my friend's last name starts with an R. I applied before her and her application got processed before mine. They say that it's done alphabetically but the applications seem to be processed at random. My status changed just a couple of days before the lottery was done. It was so nerve-wracking LOL.

Third time applying for me. I’m pretty sure that several counselors get stacks of “supporting documents” to sort through. So while each individual counselor may do their stack in alphabetical order, overall the entries end up being all over the place. There is no use in anyone panicking and crashing the site like in previous years because it doesn’t change the results. Last year mine changed from pending to eligible about 2-3 weeks before the lottery.

Reapplicant and mine says complete and pending. I’m curious to see how this year differs from last with the supporting document entry change. Also last year after the lottery the site gave an error page to everyone who didn’t get in (it was so messed up). Only the selected could successfully log in.

mine only sayings pending for the evaluation status, it’s blank on the application status part... hmm what’s the first letter of your last name?

Just wanted to pop in and say as of today checking, my status is changed to “eligible” and I now have a tab for lotto status. 
 

I’m a 2nd time applicant and my last name starts with M. 
 

Under the impression they may go through reapplicants first because we don’t have to have supporting documentation unless something changed? I only turned in the email acknowledgment and the academic summary form, as nothing has changed. So I’m guessing they just saw I was eligible the year previous and set my status? It took until like a week before the lotto before my status changed my first time I applied. 
 

Also I have a background in web design and the “choose from list” is probably have to do with in the backend for admins there is probably a drop down that says chosen/nonselected/alternate or it will print “chose from list”. At least that’s what I gather.

Yes, I totally agree that there is not an exact order that they follow. My status last year changed a few days before they posted the lottery. I was a nervous wreck!
