Fresno City College Fall 2019/Spring 2020 Application

Hi guys, I just wanted to start a forum of the application period for 2019-2020 and see who applied and how many times and what not. Also who got in and what not and just to reach out for advice. So we are all kept up to date with each other! My status still says pending so I'm hoping that changes within the next week!

Toot your own horn!!! I’d be shouting from the rooftops if I got that kind of score!! And I agree... nothing wrong with being excited or nervous, by this point we have all worked hard for this. I am going to take whatever answer I get and try to know it will all work out the way it’s supposed to. Although Fresno is an hour away for me and and the other schools I applied to are an hour and a half, this makes a huge difference in my planning. I also have children and have to schedule all of this around.... it’s nerve wrecking!! Good luck again everyone!!!!

fresno is almost 2 hours from me so I'd def be looking at crazy commuting or finding a room or something, so yeah, big decisions !!!

Thank you very much! It absolutely is! Wish they could get some more funding and the cohort size could be increased to accommodate all eligible people! Best of luck!

I just called. She said 5pm today but to check periodically & if nothing today then for sure next week. I’m so nervous I don’t think I’ll be eating until I know ?

Does anyone know if they notify unselected applicants first or selected first?

That doesn’t sound right. I already have a bachelors in an unrelated field and was able to apply to Fresno State as a second degree student. All the information about applying to FS as a 2nd degree student is on their website and nowhere do they mention requiring an associates...UNLESS you are talking about the online RN-to-BSN program which is for students who already have an associates in Nursing but who are looking to get the BSN. Then you would need an associates in nursing to apply to that particular program.

She also said she didn’t have access to see how many were actually eligible out of the 900+ applicants so we can’t even pass time by calculating our odds!

from the forum I read from last year I looks like unselected was first
