Hi guys, I just wanted to start a forum of the application period for 2019-2020 and see who applied and how many times and what not. Also who got in and what not and just to reach out for advice. So we are all kept up to date with each other! My status still says pending so I'm hoping that changes within the next week!

Last application period the status was posted a couple of days prior to the lottery date if I remember correctly. Im sure that was a much smaller applicant pool, but still being in pending status is making me a bit nervous. ?
Also, for any one that is curious, those results were updated on Wednesday of the lottery selection week.
My last name is a P and I’m still pending, my buddy’s last name is S and she’s eligible
My last name starts with a T and it just updated to eligible late last night. When I spoke with Michelle, the main nursing counselor there, she told me last year there were around 600 applicants. Of those, 480 were eligible. Of that, I think there were around 220 spots (depending on how many people had to re-take classes). So, odds of getting in last year were around 46% if you were eligible. Sounds like we're not going to fare that well this year if someone said they're at ~900 applicants. ? If history repeats itself w/ percentage of eligible applicants, we're looking at around 30% chance of getting in...now I'm gonna go cry...
Not to be mean but there are so many comments with people sounding entitled or making poor life decisions/planning decisions. Everyone this is a lotto. Make backup plans. Have contingencies. I know we are all excited but as a first year applicant I have two other backup plans as well as plans if I need to wait a few years to get in. Plan ahead and be smart!!

I agree, I applied to a couple other programs as well as RT programs just in case. But shoutout to those who are making an effort to better their lives! Props to you guys. Good luck to everyone
My last name starts with a L and I’m still pending application. I don’t think alphabetical names have anything to do with it. My friends last name starts with a T and she got late Saturday that she was ineligible. Hoping for some time today to see it change! Applied to Merced and soon to delta. Hoping one of them takes me!

You’re welcome ?
I was wondering the same thing... how many are actually eligible.
