Hello to everybody here at All Nurses! First, Kudos to all who passed the NLE recently this July 3 & 4! And Im glad Im one of them :):yeah:, though I still cant wrap my mind around it, kept checking my name on the results every now and then.. :) Hahaha!!

Well the reason for my post is Im having some difficulties on which step to take next. Im currently working on a callcenter and Im planning to resign as soon as possible to get a training/job in a hospital. If you could suggest some tips that would be really GREAT:D!

Okay second, If Im going for the Training like IV therapy, etc. Does anybody know a good Hospital where I could have my training? Prices doesnt really matter for the moment, I just wanna have whats best out there. I was thinking of St.Lukes but I don't have any idea if they offer trainings.

3rd, if Im gonna choose to work. Where could I find some sites/post of Hiring Hospitals?

Well, I hope somebody could help me/lead me to the right path *heehee*:)

Godbless Everybody :)

first of all, congratulations on passing the board.

Unfortunately, this is where the reality sets in the Philippines.

I passed the boards last November 2009, the results came out on February and like you, I was excited that I got my RN license(my 2nd license, as I am a second courser)..till now, I am jobless... I have asked from help from friends who work at PGH, other tertiary or secondary hospitals but no demand, even for volunteers. I am using a backer now to help me get into a hospital, as we need the experience after getting our license, as we are considered novice. Most of my friends who passed the boards, they opt not to pursue their nursing license anymore after passing, due to the fact that they need to earn money, to pay their bills(this is understandable). I would recommend that you stick to your job now as a callcenter agent, than going the nursing route for now...

For the IVT therapy, I asked friends from the US if I am going to take IVT and they said no, as I need to refresh everything again in the US, IF the demand there would open up again. Most of my friends who are in the US had to retake their BLS training in the US. I am planning to go back to my first course for now, I know I need the experience but I also have bills to pay..
