Hey Evelyn,

The CASPER assessment website does a pretty good job of explaining the format and even has a few practice scenarios to do before taking the real thing. I would recommend looking over all of this and searching "CASPER assessment reddit" and reading the post "Guide to doing well on CASPer". That does a much better job explaining the theory and strategy behind it than I could. In short, it's an emotional intelligence test that is more about answering how it wants you to answer than what you might think is reasonable or even how a normal human behaves. It's probably more useful for pointing out bad seeds than finding who is a good apple. As far as the in-person interview goes, it's a mix of clinical and EI. My best advice is to 100% be yourself, answer the EI questions with confidence and some humility. Know the answer to basic questions like "Why do you want to be a CRNA?" Much like many other programs, the clinical part is about how much you choose to share. Be honest about the types of patients you care for often, and be prepared to speak to your practice. What meds do you give? Why do you give them? How much do you give? How do you know they are working? Why would you not want to give that med? What comorbidities do they have? How do those affect their care plan? These are a few examples. Also, be prepared to go down a rabbit hole of questions until you no longer know the answer. Don't try to fake knowing at that point; instead, admit it and think of a way to get to the answer, like thinking through the anatomy or how your other knowledge on the subject might nudge you towards the answer. At the end of the day, if you get an interview, they're already interested, and you just gotta be yourself and know that if it's meant to be, it'll happen! Good luck!

Thank you so much for this. I appreciate it

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone was accepted with a low GPA and high GrE score? My GPA is 3.19 but gre score of 329. Just wanting to know if I have a chance? Thank you
