Fountain Valley L&D department- any inside scoops?

Hi everyone!

I am a new grad RN and I have a second interview scheduled for Fountain Valley's L&D department. I am really excited to go to my second interview, but I want to make sure that I know all the information before going in.

I am desperate for a job - but at the same time I dont want to end up at a job where I am unhappy with poor working conditions. I graduated from Northern California so I have no experience at all with any of the hospitals down south, specifically in the Orange County area.

Can anyone give me any advice/information on Fountain Valley? Any information would be soo appreciated. Please feel free to PM me if you want to.

my cousin had all 3 of her children there and said the nurses were great! they're a busy unit as far as i know. i'll be grad in dec 2008 and interested in fvrh l&d unit also. good luck:up:!! tell me how it goes! :wink2:

I think FVRH has an excellent L&D department. I worked as an ER tech at the hospital and alot of the excellent nurses I've met were from the ER, ICU, and especially L&D and post partum. Their L&D is busy morning, noon, and night...but there's a supportive and knowledgeable staff base awaiting you. Good luck and I hope this post helps...:heartbeat
